Ice Cream

Ice cream, gelato and sorbet are elegant, simple desserts that can easily be made at home by hand or with an ice-cream maker. Ice cream gets its smooth, creamy texture by churning or whisking the mixture as it freezes to break up the ice crystals. Ice-cream machines do the churning for you, but the hand-made method gives equally good results.
