Oyster prices have soared in recent years, but the tradition of oyster stew for Christmas Eve supper lingers. We’re glad to share with you the favorite recipe of a Wisconsin farmer’s wife for Com/Oyster Soup. It tastes wonderful on a holly-decorated evening or a winter day.
Com stretches the oysters beautifully; the blend of flavors is excitingly good. So before the children hang up their Christmas stockings, why not serve them Com/Oyster Soup, crackers, a fruit cup or salad, Christmas cookies and chocolate milk? They’ll go to bed happy.
