Big-batch Hospitality Salad

A smart hostess works out ways to serve superior food to friends on short notice. One excellent plan is to fix a large fruit salad and freeze it. Then when guests come, all you have to do is make coffee or tea and slice the salad.

We share with you the salad-dessert recipe of an Iowa extension home economist who makes nine quarts of the luscious fruit mixture every year right after Thanksgiving. Then she’s ready to welcome guests throughout the holiday season. She calls it Hospitality Salad-Dessert. Her friends call it good!
