You’ve heard of the old lyric that love and marriage go together like a horse and carriage. Have you also heard of the older adage that talks about curries and rice (breads, raitas, and chutneys too) being twins? Didn’t think so. But let me be the one to break it to you: curries and rice are inseparable and if divided will most certainly be sad and forlorn. Curries in India are not stand-alone creatures but are always part of a family of dishes that consists of rice, bread, chutneys, and yogurt-based raitas (and let’s not forget dessert and beverages) at any given meal.
