Arabian desserts in general might strike the western palate as being too rich and sweet. This may be true, but they are usually reserved for special religious and social occasions and gatherings. For everyday dessert, fresh fruits are usually the choice after the main meal or between meals. Probably the sweet tea customarily served after every meal satisfies the sweet tooth in many of us.
