  • About
If someone in the family is counting calories, or if you’re cutting down on fat in your diet, we have two recipes for satisfactory pastry with less than the usual amount of fat. Follow mixing directions closely—they were worked out by U. S. Department of Agriculture scientists. Do not try to freeze either of the recipes. The low-oil pastry and pastry made with less than ⅓ c. shortening to 1 c. flour do not freeze satisfactorily.
