Roasted peppers are not actually roasted but, rather, char-peeled. They are either grilled or broiled in order to remove their skins and slightly soften their flesh while giving them a subtle, smoky flavor. Roasted peppers are tasty and colorful additions to salads and sandwiches, and make attractive garnishes and décor items.
