Combining the five tastes – salt, savoury, sour, spicy and sweet – is an important element of eating and has been mentioned in various cultures that have trickled down their knowledge to us through hundreds of years. It is important that we adhere to this craving of ours, so this is a collection of my all-time favourite sweets to cook that have been inspired by my childhood, my adventures to numerous countries, clients and, last but not least, family favourites.
