It has always been my dream to see a society made up of healthy individuals...

By Robert Atawura

I Currently have 10 gardens for growing moringa leaves as a source of nutrition, which are dotted around communities within the Yendi municipality of the northern region of Ghana. I began farming moringa in 2019 with my first farm at Latagim community and have gradually added the rest of the communities over time.

Moringa is a tree that provides nutrition, is full of antioxidants, helps boost immunity, fights bacteria, helps reduce blood sugar levels, improves bone health, and supports kidney function. Almost all parts of the moringa plant have some nutritional value. The leaves, which are most often used in the preparation of food or ground into powder, are high in protein and rich in vitamins A, C, B2, and B6 as well as essential nutrients including potassium, magnesium and iron.
