  • About
Glutinous rice, azuki hearts, squash, sweet potatoes and sugar are, surprisingly, the most commonly used ingredients in Japanese desserts; no dairy foods are used at all. It is not customary in Japan to have a dessert after a meal, so the dishes here are normally eaten as an accompaniment to Japanese tea.
