Who would have thought that cooking would become so fashionable and food such a topic of discussion? For my part I have always concentrated on recipes that are unashamedly straightforward but, I hope, none the less special for that. I believe in good food simply prepared, in exploiting seasonal ingredients to the full and presenting dishes attractively, not with fussy ideas, but by cooking food thoughtfully and serving it looking fresh and inviting.
