Small Plates

In the Macedonian culture, mezze is the first offering. It usually involves a combination of small tastes to enjoy at your leisure. It could be as simple as cheese, olives, and bread, or a more elaborate spread of small nibbles that pair well with alcoholic or non-alcoholic drinks. Sometimes, for casual gatherings or a light lunch, traditional mezze is all you need. A selection of a few small dishes, a glass of wine, and great conversation is my favorite way to eat and entertain.
