Insect Infestations

It has been known for weevils or beetles to eat into corks, reducing their efficacy, and letting in air. Check that the capsules on your bottles are intact and hang an insect strip in your cellar to ward off possible infestations of insects. If you live in a high-risk area, you could wrap your bottles.
