Catalogue of Molluscs

Various classifications into orders have been recommended for these creatures. I like the basic division into Gastropoda (creatures living in single shells), Lamellibranchiata (bivalves, creatures living in double shells) and Cephalopoda (creatures like the octopus), and will proceed down the ranks of Molluscs on this basis, conducting a less formal inspection than was appropriate for other categories of sea-food.
