  • About
When I first set up home and went shopping in the local supermarket, I watched others in amazement as they confidently reached for a few cans of this and packets of that, swiftly filling their trolleys with their weekly shopping. How did they know what to buy? And how much of it to buy?
Fairly quickly I learned that a) you do not know, when you shop on Saturday morning, what you will feel like eating when you get home the following Friday, and b) it was no use putting in the basket items I thought I ought to buy, either because I saw other people buying them, or I remembered my parents buying them.
