39 Rue De Bretagne, 75003 M° Filles De Calvaire (Line 8) Open: Tuesday–Saturday, 8:30 A.M.–7:30 P.M., Sunday, 8:30 A.M.–2:00 P.M.
Created as an orphanage for young pensioners clad in red, the Marché des Enfants Rouges was transformed into a market in 1615 and has remained as such throughout various renovations, most recently in 2000 when the market had its latest makeover. A favorite lunchtime spot among tourists and locals alike, the latest incarnation of the market is equipped with long lunch counters and scattered picnic tables that fill up during the lunch rush.
