  • About
The largest grocer in Brixton Village, the Faiz Food Store is quite Tardis-like. Looking like a simple fruit and vegetable stall from the outside, you step past piles of fresh herbs and spinach, in through a narrow doorway and are greeted with food and produce from all round the world.

Specialising in Colombian and South American goods, the Faiz is the perfect place to come for packets of pre-mixed aliños, liquid smoke to infuse your food with that barbecued flavour when you can’t cook outside, bags of frozen yuca or a vast selection of hominy and dried corn. You can stock up on a wide variety of Caribbean goods such as specialist pulses, syrups and cordials, soft drinks, sweets and crisps. It’s a little like being a kid in a candy store. But there are also piles of fruit, vegetables and herbs here at great prices and, if you buy your scotch bonnets here, they often throw a few extra in at no cost.
