  • About
Probably the best known outside Brixton of all the restaurants in Brixton Village, this independent burger chain began life here on 1st Avenue. It has recently expanded into new sites in Soho, Camden and Notting Hill and looks set to sweep London with its famous rosemary salt chips and 30 day aged beef from the Ginger Pig Butchers.

Opened in 2011 by Dorian Waite, Tom Barton and Phil Eeles, Honest Burgers specialise in burgers and nothing else. You can choose from beef, chicken or veggie, and they all come with a portion of the rosemary salt chips on the side – once you’ve tasted either, you’ll understand why there is such a big queue for Honest Burgers no matter what time of the day or night. They’ve teamed up with WAGFree Bakery to include a gluten-free option for the buns, and details like this have helped them keep their loyal clientele as more high-end burger joints have opened around London.
