  • About
Named for Ibadan city in south-west Nigeria, this small store on 5th Avenue isn’t quite as large as its namesake (the third largest metropolitan area in Nigeria). But it’s almost as interesting.

Particularly good for specialist spices such as alligator pepper and ehuru, you can also pick up a selection of dried chilli peppers and bitterleaf here. The service is more European than in some of the other stores and you should be able to ask questions about what you are buying whether you are a total newbie to Nigerian cuisine or an old hand wanting to compare regional variations across the most populated country in Africa.
