  • About

This fishmongers (confusingly called Otto’s on the sign) has been owned by the Murray family for over 50 years. A large stall near the Pope’s Road entrance, it used to be one of three owned by the Murrays in Granville Arcade’s heyday as a fish market. There is little rivalry with the other fishmongers – in fact the Hodges family, who used to own Dagon’s before selling up, are cousins of the Murrays. People shop at both stalls, coming as much for the family traditions, interactions and service as the fish. There is a steady stream of customers and on Saturdays the queue can get up to the corner of 3rd Avenue. No corners are cut on quality or service and Jonathan and Frankie will always take time to answer questions.
