  • About

Brixton Village’s only dedicated juice bar, Oracle also offers vegan and raw foods along with a selection of specialist organic items and provisions. Run by Ita-Tunde Aworeni, Oracle is about eating as healing rather than just fuel.

Growing up in rural Jamaica, Ita-Tunde learned about the importance of plants and food from his grandmother. Connected to cooking and preparing food from a young age, he grew up with the idea of spiritual nourishment being more important than simply sating an appetite. There are no artificial ingredients, including refined sugars, in Oracle’s food and drink. Ita-Tunde believes that ‘what is sweet to the mouth is bitter to the belly’ and offers many other ways to fuel the body than the Western obsessions with sugar and caffeine. His best seller is the spirulina energy juice with avocado, banana and spirulina to beat the 4 p.m. slump. It is particularly good with the vegan raw cake made with dates and raw chocolate.
