  • About
This Brixton Village favourite sells crêpes and galettes and suits adults and children alike. The buckwheat galettes are gluten-free and there is an extensive vegetarian and vegan selection. It’s no wonder Senzala are so busy all day.

Senzala started life as the Brick Box restaurant, partly run in conjunction with the Brick Box collective who programmed music, art and entertainment in the Village in the early days of regeneration. Brick Box have since moved on to other market projects in Tooting and beyond and, in February 2013, the name of the restaurant was formally changed to Senzala. The owner, Claudia Rodrigues de Oliviera, chefs and staff remained the same and so did the regular customers, many of whom come every Sunday morning with their kids.
