With its gorgeous glossy red frontage, Snugg is the new kid on the block in Brixton Village. New owner Binki Taylor took the unit over from the Relay tea rooms and has given it a fresh style with sharing platters and evening opening, cocktails and live music, but she’s cleverly kept on Relay’s chefs Ella Killingley and Joseph Bickley to ensure the incredible quality of the food.

When you hear that Ella has worked for both Ottolenghi and Honey & Co, you won’t be surprised that all the food is made from scratch on the premises. Her menu features eclectic modern cuisine known here as ‘London food’ – a mix of classic English, Mediterranean and African inspired dishes, from the early morning Trader’s Breakfast of baked eggs and chorizo, to cake platters in the afternoon and small dishes and cocktails in the evening (or a bit of all of these whenever you fancy it).
