Buckwheat Groats

  • About
  • ½ cup un-toasted buckwheat groats = 1 cup cooked
  • 1 cup untoasted buckwheat groats to 2 cups water
In a large saucepan add 1 tablespoon vegetable oil to toast 1 cup of groats. Cook for a minute.
Add boiling water and cover the pot. Reduce to a simmer and cook for 15 minutes or until the water is absorbed, Remove from heat and leave to stand for 5 minutes before removing the lid.
