  • About
For me, combatting ageing is not just about looking good, it’s about feeling good too, which is down to two things: energy and attitude. A few years ago I caught myself making old lady noises every time I got up or sat down and it made me determined not to get into lazy habits. Being youthful is a state of mind and it’s certainly something that we should embrace wholeheartedly – it’s never too late.
The first thing you learn when you study the psychology of ageing is that nobody ever looked at their watch and thought ‘oh, there it is, time to go’ and then died. Since the beginning of time, nobody has actually died of old age. If we have eaten nutritious foods and lived a healthy lifestyle, it is highly unlikely that we will age in the same way as the junk food kings of our generation. The message is that it is never too early to start, or too late to make the change. If we are lucky enough to reach old age, let’s make sure we can own it when we get there and stay as healthy and active as possible.
