Even those snooty Spaniards who shrug sangria off as a tourist drink would certainly change their mind upon tasting the sexy potions mixed by Alex Ureña, the gifted chef at Suba, a lounge-restaurant in New York. Red, white, or rosé, Alex’s sangrias will add pizzazz to any tapas bash. Each of the recipes below will make a medium-size pitcher and serve six. Double, triple, or quadruple the recipes, but watch out—this is potent stuff.
