  • About
The Weiss River runs through the Village of Kaysersberg, birthplace of the 1952 Nobel Peace Prize winner Dr. Albert Schweitzer. His birth house is a museum worth a visit.
The valley of the Bruche, just south of Strasbourg, looking toward the village of Bellefosse and “Le Climont,” a conical sandstone peak of the Vosges mountains, taken from Mont Saint-Jean. The small purplish blossoms in the foreground are wild heather bushes, a favorite of mine, a sign of independence and confidence, as they grow in places that are quite hard for any other flower to grow.
