Born in 1959, Sophie Grigson spent her childhood in England and in France, where the cuisine inspired in her an early interest in food.

Sophie has travelled widely, in South East Asia, the United States, South America and India, but she is particularly fond of Italy, a country she now revisits every year.

Currently cookery writer for London’s Evening Standard, Sophie also contributes to other newspapers and magazines. Her previous publications include Sophie’s Table, Sophie Grigson’s Ingredients Book, and Food for Friends.
