  • About
There are several food markets around the city. The largest, Dezerterebi Bazar, near the main train station and Station Square Metro, spreads through the streets and a converted train shed in that area. Samgori Bazar, near the Samgori Metro station, also occupies several streets and squares behind the main road. Smaller local markets exist in other neighbourhoods, with a group of food stalls and flower sellers in the streets beneath 9 April Park, below Kashveti Church, on Rustaveli Avenue. The popular Dry Bridge Flea Market, off Gamsakhurdia Bank, operates daily and is a good place to try out your bargaining skills. If you’re looking for paintings, Vernissaj is the weekend open-air art market in the park below the flea market.
