A good number of today’s best-known natural winemakers in Georgia are over 40 (some are over 50) and most have spent their working lives in other professions – from the tech industries to music, teaching or the law. Over the last five to 10 years, they’ve found themselves unexpectedly bottling and selling wine and taking a new direction in their lives and careers. Another cluster are under 30, the really new generation, who are just starting out now and who certainly represent the future of Georgia’s potential in wine.
