Eating en Route

Khinkali dumplings and other simple dishes are available in lots of little taverns along the route, from Natakhtari to Pasanauri, if you get hungry before starting the climb. At Tsitelsopeli, Patiosani Katsis Dukani, or the Righteous Man’s tavern, is just off the Military Highway and offers straightforward affordable Georgian village food sourced from local ingredients.
