It has been said that there are two kinds of people in the world: hosts and guests. Happily, most people are a combination of both. When people who don’t usually live together gather under one roof to spend a weekend, or a week, it’s not really fair for either hosts or guests to have to conform to their archetypal roles. The greatest hosts are those who treat their guests as warmly as family. And the best guests are those who know instinctively that they have been invited to amuse themselves by day and their hosts by night.
