Keeping a straight face is not always easy, especially if you are a waitress with a wicked, Glasgow sense of humour. Barbara Ronald worked with us as our waitress for many years. She was a bundle of Glasgow laughs, as well as being highly professional, a wonderful friend and close colleague. Wood pigeon was on the menu one day, and in a way that only an American could, a customer asked Babs: “Do you shoot your own?”
