  • About
For those in search of kitchen tools or utensils, there are still some specialised neighbourhoods in Tokyo, such as Kappabashi street, that are dedicated to kitchenware. Japanese utensils are very varied. There are special knives for small fish, big fish, long fish, vegetables… bowls for crushing sesame seeds, different graters for wasabi, ginger and daikon.
Of course, you could make do with just one knife, but when you love to cook (and cook well), these different tools are seen as essential, even compulsory.
