As with everything, there are lots of brands and foods that latch on to the hottest-selling trend. You will see many foods at the supermarket suddenly labelled ‘vegan’ because an increasing number of people are interested. But, as we’ve seen, the label ‘vegan’ does not necessarily mean healthy. You don’t need to spend loads of money on fancy tinctures, super powders and expensive ingredients. I recommend that you start with the basics – good-quality veggies, fruits, nuts, seeds, pulses and grains – and take it from there.
