To save time in the kitchen, I like to prepare a double batch of a dish and save the second helping to serve later. You can make such things as a soup or stew, roast chicken, or grilled vegetables on the weekend and use them to make quick meals the following week. I also like to make a big batch of quinoa or rice to make grain salads with cut-up ingredients.
