A pasta pie has two main advantages: not only is it a dish that can be put together quickly at the last minute, but it can also be prepared ahead of time to avoid any last-minute panics. Pasta is supremely popular, as is chicken, so a combination of the two is always a perfect family dish. This pasta pie can simply be cooked and then reheated, or it can be left in the refrigerator after you have spooned the sauce on top and sprinkled with grated cheese until you are ready to cook it. When you can find them, the extra-wide flat ribbon noodles are especially good for this dish, but the ordinary tagliatelle is also suitable.
