Ideally, you need a waffle-iron to make these. If you are lucky enough to have one — great. If not, you can make them in a frying pan as below, or you could even just fry little spoonfuls, flick your wrist a bit here and there and serve up crisp little make-believe waffles. And, if you’re really pushed for time, you can just mix all the ingredients together without even whisking the egg whites, although your waffles won’t be quite so light and cloud-like.
