You sure don’t need a recipe to make a grilled cheese sandwich, but you might want one! This is how we prepare and serve ours on Grilled Cheese Wednesdays at the Bakehouse. The Works has become a customer favorite over the years; it’s salty, rich, a little sweet, a little tart, and buttery. What more could you want?
1. In a small bowl, whisk together the mustard and honey until combined.
2. Butter one side of each slice of bread; this will be the outside of the sandwich.
3. Spread the honey mustard on the inside of one slice of bread. Top the mustard with the grated cheese and then tomato slices. Close the sandwich with the second slice of buttered bread.
