Split the kouigns in half lengthwise. In an ovenproof baking dish just large enough to hold the kouigns in a single layer, whisk together the eggs, cream, milk, and vanilla. Place each kouign half, cut side down, in the custard. Cover tightly with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 8 hours or overnight.
