I have attempted to make hot cross buns in the past but they have not risen and ended up like rock cakes. However, this recipe worked well. All the ingredients apart from the dried fruit were put in the bread maker on the dough setting. I added the dried fruit and used my stand mixer for a few minutes after. I shaped the buns and left them to rise for a few hours. The buns have risen well and were a delicious snack this Easter Sunday morning. 😊🐣
