Dabs are one of those fish that you rarely find at fishmongers. I imagine that most of them get dumped or used for pot bait... and there lies the problem with fishing. As consumers, we don’t get to see the fish that go back, yet small flat fish like dabs, sand soles, megrim, etc., make good eating and their flesh is easily removed from the bone. Adding some peeled prawns turns a humble fish like dab into a luxury dish.
