On a warm sunny day, pack a 575-ml (1-pint) jug full of scented rose petals and a rose leaf or two. Wash them in cold water, shake in a cloth like a salad, then spread out the petals on the cloth to dry in the sun.
Bring the honey to the boil, then throw in all the petals and leaves and let them simmer for a few minutes. Remove the pan from the heat, and leave it to stand for a few hour
