  • 8 oz (250 g) plain white flour (2 c)

Method

Preparing the Girdle

Heat the girdle and grease.

Mixing

Sift all the dry ingredients into a bowl. Put the syrup in a cup and stir in the melted butter or oil, the egg and a little milk. Stir into the flour and add enough milk to make a thick creamy mixture, about the consistency of double cream.
