The sweet tanginess of the orange is a wonderful complement to the creamy saltiness of halloumi here. A blood orange would also work well when in season. Either way, this makes the perfect side to any brunch.
Cut the block of halloumi in half lengthways so you have two thin layers. Put your frying pan on a medium heat and add the oil, then fry the halloumi slice on both sides until it is golden brown and soft in the middle, roughly 4 minutes on each side.
With a sharp knife, cut the peel, pith and outer skin from the orange, then slice it into rounds and cut into pieces. Arrange a few pieces
