This simple banana cake with a light texture appeared in the original Cake Stall as Anna’s Banana Cake; the recipe has now been enlivened with chocolate chips by my young cooking friend, Martha. An easy way to crush the chocolate is to break it into a plastic bag, seal the bag and gently hit it with a rolling pin or a heavy stone until the chocolate is broken into fragments.
