In this Mexican version of the Sloppy Joe, flavorful Chicken Tinga is ahogada or “drowned” under smoky Roasted Tomato-Chipotle Salsa.

Method

  1. Prepare the My Refried Beans and Roasted Tomato-Chipotle Salsa and keep warm. Heat the Chicken Tinga.
  2. Spread the refried beans on the bottom portion of each torta roll. Spoon the chicken over the refried beans. Top with tomato, avocado, and onion; sprinkle on the oregano, and add ¼ cup salsa to the top of each torta roll to each to “drown” the sandwiches
