  • 1 breadfruit about 2 lb., or a 26 oz. tin

Method

Peel the breadfruit, cut out the core, and cut up roughly. If using tinned breadfruit, drain and chop coarsely. Put on to cook with the salt beef and onion, with the thyme, bay leaf, parsley and chives tied up in a piece of cheesecloth, in enough water to cover. Cook until breadfruit is tender.
