  • About

Sarah Seabrook, the red rice queen of Beaufort, worked for many years for the late Mayor Henry C. Chambers and was a very important part of his family. Sarah shared her talent for making red rice with many people in the community—especially at the fried chicken suppers held at her church, the Grace African Methodist Episcopal (AME) Church on Charles Street.
