This is my favorite recipe for chocolate. I adore ice cream in any form. For me, the perfect summer’s afternoon (well, to be truthful, any afternoon) isn’t complete without a double cone of vanilla and chocolate ice cream.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup light cream or whole milk
  • 10 oz. dark chocolate (70

Method

Put the cream or milk in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Remove the pan from the heat and stir in the chocolate until melted and smooth.

Put the sugar and egg yolks in a bowl and beat with a hand-held electric mixer until thick and creamy, about 10 minutes.
